Chattanooga Housing Authority taking bids on Harriet Tubman site

Officials with the Chattanooga Housing Authority said they again are accepting offers for the 37-acre Harriet Tubman site.

The announcement comes a day after CHA was unable to close on the sale of the former public housing development to Chicago-based Lakewood Realty 3.

CHA is using broker Dennis Harris of Brentwood, Tenn.-based Kirkland Co. the news release stated.

The property consists of 440 units in East Chattanooga.
