The Hamilton County Parks and Recreation Department has announced that the section of the Tennessee Riverwalk closed due to needed maintenance work will temporarily reopen for the holiday weekend.

A release said the section extends from the Hubert Fry Center to Chickamauga Dam and that it will be open Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

Then it will close again Tuesday morning to accommodate continuing maintenance work.
