ALBANY, Ga. — A student has been shot in the arm near Albany High School. The injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.
Police officials told WALB-TV that the 16-year-old victim was wounded by a small-caliber weapon while walking along a local road. It happened outside of the school's campus.
The victim was taken to Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital for treatment.
Police and school officials did not immediately return messages seeking comment.
