Georgia picked up the 17th football commitment for its 2014 signing class Monday when receiver Rico Johnson made a nonbinding pledge.
The 5-foot-11, 188-pound Johnson committed to Georgia's 2013 signing class in the summer of 2012 but failed to qualify and spent this past season at the Georgia Sports Prep Academy in Atlanta. He is from Swainsboro and was rated by Rivals.com as the No. 82 receiver in the 2013 class.
Johnson is Georgia's first commitment for the 2014 class since September.
