Friends of South Cumberland is inviting regional fine artists, craft artists and photographers to participate in its third Art for the Park, an exhibition and sale to be held during Trails & Trilliums on April 11-13 at the Monteagle Assembly. The 11th annual Trails & Trilliums is a three-day environmental festival, featuring guided hikes, native plant sale, workshops, children's nature activities, vendors and music.

Art for the Park celebrates fine art and regional crafts displayed in an indoor venue and tented outdoor space. An additional space, the Woodland Garden Gallery, offers a selection of native plants, containers and artful focal elements.

Applications for the art exhibition and sale are due Monday, Feb. 3. The work may be framed or mounted paintings in oil, watercolor or mixed media, original prints, photographs, textiles and sculpture. Accepted artworks, with a limit of three per artist, will be highlighted at a preview party on April 11, with the sale continuing April 12-13. Artists receive 60 percent of the sale price, with 40 percent going to support the Friends of South Cumberland, a land preservation group.

Artist and vendor applications are available on the Trails & Trilliums website, www.trailsandtrilliums.org.
