'Grease' opens in Crossville - Jan. 31

Cumberland County Playhouse, 221 Tennessee Ave. in Crossville, Tenn., will return to the era of hot rods and poodle skirts with "Grease," one of Broadway's longest-running musicals. The production, starring Anna Burnett, left, as good girl Sandy Dumbrowski and Lenny Lively as greaser Danny Zuko, will open Friday, Jan. 31, for a 12-performance run through Sunday, March 9. The production, which is rated PG, features dozens of teens from Cumberland County and the surrounding region, as well as adult professionals from the Playhouse company. Songs include "You're the One That I Want," "Summer Nights" and "Greased Lightning." Tickets are $26 for adults, $25 for seniors, $24 for groups, $13 for students.
