The email for bands to be considered for Road to Nightfall is firstname.lastname@example.org.
Local bands have until Wednesday, Feb. 5, to put their names into consideration for this year's Road to Nightfall competition. Road to Nightfall offers a local act the opportunity to play in front of thousands of people as a headliner at the Nightfall Summer Concert Series at Miller Plaza.
According to Jonathan Susman of Chattanooga Presents, artists need to email a link to their EPK, MySpace or website where the group can be seen and heard to email@example.com. Bands must have at least three members and be capable of performing a 90-minute set to be eligible. Final selections will be announced Wednesday, Feb. 12.
The four rounds of preliminary competition will be March 7, 8, 14 and 15 at Rhythm & Brews. Up to six bands will compete each evening, playing a three- to four-song set. The winner each night will be chosen by a popular vote of those in attendance. The top four bands will go on to the final night of competition on March 21, with a panel of music industry professionals determining the winner. The winning band will be paid $1,000 to headline one of the 18 shows in the Nightfall series, May 2 to Aug. 29.
