Q: Dad, I know you’ve “worked” on a lot of computers over the years, so what have you learned?
A: There is an old adage that says, “There is no such thing as a cheap used car.” It applies to old computers as well. I could have purchased several new computers with the money and time I spent trying to make an old one do what I wanted it to do. Figure out what you actually need it to do so you don’t waste your money, but buy for the future.
