I-75 shut down as Campbell County fireworks store goes up in flames

No one was injured when flames erupted from a Campbell County fireworks store Sunday afternoon, sending fireworks shooting in all directions and briefly shutting down traffic along Interstate 75, authorities said.

The fire was reported at 4:16 p.m. at the Fireworks Superstore, just off I-75 at exit 141, according to a Campbell County emergency dispatcher.

Multiple emergency responder agencies converged on the scene and I-75 traffic was stopped in both directions as flames and errant fireworks threatened the surrounding area.
