Storms knock down power lines in Chattanooga area

High winds are reported to have knocked down several powerlines on Signal Mountain at the 3700 block of Taft Highway.

EPB is on the scene and no major delays are expected according to the Tennessee Highway Patrol.

EPB is reporting that 200-500 homes and businesses have lost power and crews are on-site working to restore it.

The W Road and Boy Scout Road remain closed due to an accident earlier in the day that involved a fully-loaded hay truck overturning and blocking the roadway.
