East TN woman run over by boyfriend in truck, police say

Charges are pending after a woman was run over with a pickup by her boyfriend in the Western Heights public housing complex Monday afternoon, police said.

What investigators have yet to determine is whether she jumped, fell out or was pushed from the moving vehicle.

The incident was reported about 4 p.m. near the corner of West Oldham and Jourolman avenues, where more than a dozen Knoxville Police Department officers and emergency responders converged on the scene.
