A 69-year-old woman has died from injuries sustained in a crash Tuesday morning on Highway 153 in Chattanooga.

The crash happened around 7:30 a.m. at the Grubb Road intersection.

Investigators believe a Dodge Caravan was traveling south on Highway 153 and a Ford Fusion was attempting to cross from Grubb Road.

At this time, investigators have no witness information to assist them in determining which vehicle had the right of way at the time of the collision and ask anyone who witnessed this crash to call 423-698-2525.

There were five occupants in the Caravan, all were transported to a local hospital for injuries ranging from critical to minor. The driver of the Fusion was also transported to a local hospital and is currently in critical condition.

One of the passengers of the Caravan, Mary Hickman, later passed away.

The investigation is ongoing.
