Tennessee shed 2,600 jobs across the state last month, boosting the state's unemployment by two tenths of a percent to 6.6 percent.
The Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development said today that Tennessee's jobless rate in June remained above the U.S. rate of 6.1 percent.
Over the past year, Tennessee has still added 53,600 jobs and cut its unemployment rate from 8.4 percent in June 2013 to 6.6 percent last month.
