Four arrested on drug charges in Alabama

Four people have been arrested on drug charges in northern Alabama.

An investigator working on a tip stopped a suspicious vehicle on County Road 1983. The occupants of the vehicle were found with drugs and drug paraphernalia. A further search of a residence on County Road 1983 uncovered additional drug paraphernalia and methamphetamine.

Jonathan Elders, 26, of Rainsville; Kendra Culpepper, 25, of Fort Payne; Brandon Elders, 20, of Rainsville; and Justin Downing, 31, of Rainsville, were charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

The suspects have been jailed in DeKalb County Detention Center awaiting bond.
