Chattanooga's police department has a handful of new leaders.

New Chief Fred Fletcher named Capt. Danna Vaughn, Capt. Tracy Arnold and Capt. Eric Tucker as his three new assistant chiefs Tuesday. The trio join Assistant Chief David Roddy in the command staff - Fletcher appointed Roddy as chief of staff on July 9.

All three new assistant chiefs are long-time police department veterans who will be responsible for heading the major sections of the department. Arnold will head the department's investigations division, Vaughn will oversee special operations and Tucker will head the patrol division.

Assistant Chief Stan Maffett, who served as the city's interim police chief after Chief Bobby Dodd retired at the end of 2013, will continue as the head of the administration and support division.
