Hydraulic fluid spill closes part of Hwy 111 at SR 29

The southbound lanes of State Highway 111 north of Soddy-Daisy are closed because of a hydraulic fluid spill.

Amy Maxwell with Hamilton County Emergency Services said a roll-off truck apparently lost its hydraulics and 25 to 30 gallons of fluid spilled. She said the hazardous materials team is cleaning up the spill and no injuries have been reported.

The southbound lanes are expected to be closed until close to 5 p.m., according to the Tennessee Department of Transportation. The northbound lanes are unaffected.
