Derryberry PR expands to Nashville

NASHVILLE - Chattanooga-based Derryberry Public Relations, a full-service public and government relations firm, has expanded and opened a Nashville office, company President Robin Derryberry says.

The firm provides services including, but not limited to media relations, crisis communications, strategic planning, branding, marketing, special events and promotions.

"With an expanding clientele list and consistent growth of regional PR work, our team felt an expansion to the Nashville market was the right move," Derryberry said in a news release.

Heading up the Nashville office is Sarah Basel, whose resume includes work at an award winning national marketing and public relations agency in Nashville. Derryberry said "our clients and friends have grown to love and respect the work done by Sarah, and we're excited that she's now heading up our efforts in the city she calls home."

The Chattanooga firm is also now affiliated with Nashville lobbying firm King Public Strategies, headed by Matt King. King is a former top aide to Republican Senate Speaker Ron Ramsey, serving as Ramsey's senior policy advisor when Ramsey was majority leader and later as chief of staff for Ramsey when he became speaker.

King is a former Tennessee Republican Party executive director where he worked for Beth Harwell, who later became House speaker.

"Track records mean a lot in our business, and when our clients need a lobbyist, it's important to have one of the best around," said Andy Derryberry, co-owner of the Derryberry firm. "With over 20 year of experience in local, state and federal government relations, Matt's government strategies are essential to our clients."
