HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - The Huntsville Stars ruined a previously strong night for Chattanooga's pitchers with three runs in the bottom of the ninth inning and a 5-4 Southern League baseball victory Monday night.

Nick Shaw's two-run double off Jhan Marinez scored the tying and winning runs.

After each team scored two first-inning runs, the visiting Lookouts went ahead in the second, when Darnell Sweeney walked with two outs, went to second on a wild pitch and scored on an Angel Sanchez single to right field. Jeremy Hazelbaker's triple after another two-out walk made it 4-2 in the fifth.

Back-to-back two-out errors by Stars shortstop Yadiel Rivera set up RBI singles by Daniel Mayora and Alex Liddi in the top of the first.

Lookouts starting pitcher Matt Shelton struck out nine batters in his five innings, and three relievers allowed no hits in the next three. Huntsville's Hector Gimenez had a two-run homer and a single.

Game four of the five-game series is tonight at 7:30 EDT. Chris Reed (4-7, 3.37 ERA) is the scheduled starting pitcher for the Lookouts, with Jed Bradley (3-4, 4.34) scheduled for the Stars.

• Lookouts first baseman O'Koyea Dickson was named Southern League hitter of the week after batting .464 (13-for-28) with two home runs and nine RBIs last week.
