Theatre Centre's party in stages
What: A new fundraiser was launched at the Chattanooga Theatre Centre, Backstage Bash, that led guests through all the backstage areas of the community theater. Party fun included performances by the casts of "Xanadu" and "Les Miserables," acoustic music, street performers and an auction emceed by Cindy Sexton and Greg Glover with auctioneer Mike Smelcher.
About the event: Guests moved through 10 areas of the CTC's 40,000-square-foot space. There was Techno Disco in the Scene Shop, a Lavender Lounge VIP Room with shirtless waiters and a beauty queen, and the Monday Nite Big Band played in the Stage Door Canteen. The Costume Shop Photo Op offered a variety of hats and costumes for cellphone selfies, the CTC Cotton Club featured blues and jazz and there was a piano bar.
