Mississippi Braves blank Chattanooga Lookouts

Mississippi scored the game's one and only run in the second inning, when Matt Kennelly singled to right and scored on David Rohm's double to left, and the Braves beat the Chattanooga Lookouts 1-0 on Saturday.

Touted Braves prospect J.R. Graham worked five scoreless innings to earn his first Double-A win, while Chris Reed allowed just one run on five hits in seven innings for the Lookouts (25-38) in defeat.

Game four of a five-game series in Mississippi is tonight at 6 EDT.

Matt Shelton (2-0, 1.80) is scheduled to start for the Lookouts, with Mitch Atkins (0-0, 3.60) scheduled for the Braves.

In other Lookouts news, Blake Smith, who was a right fielder for 133 games with the 2012 Lookouts, is returning as a relief pitcher after getting promoted from high Single-A Rancho Cucamonga. Getting sent to Rancho Cucamonga from Chattanooga was reliever Craig Stem.
