Chattanooga City Council approves Mayor Andy Berke's $216 million budget

Chattanooga City Council gave Mayor Andy Berke's $216 million budget their first stamp of approval.

The 8-1 vote was made after the mayor's office agreed to a last minute amendment to raise the city's road paving budget to $3 million.

Councilman Larry Grohn asked for more details on the what items were cut from the budget but the City Council voted to go ahead and vote on the amendment.
