Suspect arrested in Chattanooga killing

A fugitive wanted in connection with the June 8 killing of a Chattanooga woman and declared one of TBI's "most wanted" has been arrested in Mississippi.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said Cashman Perkins, 31, was arrested in Columbus.

Francis Smith, 40, died after suffering multiple gunshot wounds to the chest at her home on Woodland View Circle, Chattanooga police said.

Neighbors described Perkins as Smith's live-in boyfriend.
