One man is charged with attempted second degree murder after deputies say he stabbed a man in the throat, according to an affidavit of complaint.

Hamilton County Sheriff's deputies found Michael Cavitt, 26, with a cloth wrapped around his neck with blood covering his face and head. Cavitt told deputies Phillip Trewhitt, 27, stabbed him before running away.

Cavitt said he allowed Trewhitt to stay at his home for the night when the suspect reportedly attacked him with a knife.
