Cashman Jamar Perkins, 31, was booked into the Hamilton County Jail today for the murder of the Emma Wheeler Homes' "candy lady," after being captured early Sunday, June 15, in Columbus, Miss.

Perkins has been charged with criminal homicide, aggravated domestic assault and the unlawful carrying or possession of a weapon in connection with the early morning June 8 shooting of Frances "Prin Prin" Smith, a 40-year-old mother of five who was well-known and loved in her community.

Perkins was described by neighbors as Smith's live-in boyfriend.

Perkins, who had been added to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation's "most wanted" list, was captured by U.S. Marshals with the Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force.
