Police searching for missing Collegedale, TN man

A 59-year-old Collegedale man who is diabetic and suffers from depression is missing.

Edwin Harry Smith borrowed his mother’s car on June 15, 2014. She hasn’t seen him since then. Collegedale police initiated a Sliver Alert for Smith.

A friend told police that Smith said he was leaving for Memphis to listen to music and would return June 17 or June 18. Smith’s family and friends have not heard from him in more than a week. The car is a red 1993 Toyota Corolla with Tennessee License plate number 199RQX.

Smith, a white male, is 6 feet 7 inches tall, weights 205 lbs. He has gray hair and blue eyes. He is a diabetic with no medication. Please contact the Collegedale Police Department at 423-396-3133 or local police with information regarding Smith’s location.
