Chattanooga police said Monday they have no new information to release on four shootings that left five people injured in one of the most violent weekends the city has seen in 2014.

Three of the four are being investigated as possible attempted robberies that led to violence.

The first shooting happened Friday night around 9:30 at 7310 Standifer Gap Road where police found 33-year-old Brandon Langford suffering from a nonlife-threatening gunshot wound to the leg.

No information was available Monday to update an original news release that stated the suspects are two black males.

Not long after, two men were shot across town on South Orchard Knob Avenue near Main Street.

Gabino Ramirez, 31, and Fernando Ramirez, 32, were in a car when two men approached and demanded money. The robbers fired into the vehicle and wounded both men. A news release described the suspects as a pair of 20-25-year-old black men between 5 feet 6 inches and 5 feet 8 inches tall.

On Saturday a shooting with no suspects at 3920 Jasmine St. in East Chattanooga sent 21-year-old Clarence Roberts to Erlanger hospital in critical condition.

And as the new week began, police responded to a local hospital around 2:40 a.m. Monday to speak with 19-year-old Kyle Worley who was shot after confronting an unknown black male in his back yard. He was released from the hospital.

A shooting on June 23 of last year was the city's 65th of 2013, according to data collected by the Times Free Press. By comparison, there have been at least 57 shootings in the city in 2014.
