The DeKalb County Sheriff's Office has arrested two people from Indiana on drug charges.

Joseph Johnson, 34, and Tonya Caves, 37, were detained after investigators went to a residence on County Road 352 as part of an investigation into a theft case, and discovered marijuana growing as well as other drug paraphernalia.

Both Johnson and Caves were determined to have outstanding felony warrants out of Indiana, and during a further search of the home, a meth lab and chemicals to manufacture methamphetamine were discovered.

Both suspects were arrested and charged with second degree unlawful possession of marijuana, second degree manufacturing of methamphetamine, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and unlawful possession of a controlled substance. Investigators also took a rifle from the scene.

Johnson is also being held on outstanding warrants for failure to appear on several drug charges, and Caves is wanted in Indiana for violation of probation. Both suspects are being held in the DeKalb County Detention Center.
