The Chattanooga Music Club is holding its annual scholarship auditions on Sunday, March 23, at First Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 1505 N. Moore Road. The club will present seven awards totaling $12,000 in scholarship funds.
Any high school senior, instrumentalist or vocalist within a 30-mile radius of Chattanooga is eligible to compete. The student must plan to major in music in college and agree to continue music study for two years while in college. Scholarship awards must be used for college music study at a nationally accredited music school. The Chattanooga Music Club cannot grant music scholarships to students whose scholarships will go to a general scholarship fund at that university or institution.
Winners are required to perform at the Chattanooga Music Club's Scholarship Tea on Sunday, April 27, at 2:30 p.m.
Audition applications must be received no later than Sunday, March 9. For audition rules or an application, call Janet Sump at Cadek Conservatory at 423-425-4328 or email Janet-Sump@utc.edu.
