An inmate at Corrections Corporation of America assigned to a work detail at Chester Frost Park escaped custody Thursday, according to the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office.

Randy Nelson Belcher, 40, didn't return from a bathroom break at about 11:45 am, and soon after it was discovered that a Hamilton County maintenance truck had been stolen in the same vicinity. The missing truck was found later at the dead end of Barker Road in the City of Red Bank.

The Sheriff's office has obtained warrants charging Belcher with escape from a penal institution and theft over $10,000. Belcher is described as a white male with neck and face tattoos, including one of a cross and chain on the left side of his face. He is approximately 6'3" tall and weighs about 205 pounds. He was being held on charges of violation of probation.

Belcher remains at large, and the Sheriff's office requests that anyone with information about the escapee contact the dispatcher at 423-622-0022.
