Exotic Bird Fair in Athens this weekend - March 8

The Southeast Tennessee Aviculture Society will present an Exotic Bird Fair this weekend at Athens Regional Park, 2405 Decatur Pike in Athens, Tenn. Hours are 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, March 8, and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday, March 9. Besides exotic birds of all kinds, such as this macaw, the expo will include cages, toys, feed and other supplies for sale. Dr. Scott McDonald, an avian veterinarian, will be on-site Sunday from 11 a.m to 4 p.m. Silent auctions will be held both days. Door-prize drawings for $25 vendor certificates will take place at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. each day (must be present to win). Admission is $4 (free for children 8 and younger).
