Hip-hop and electronica acts at Ziggy's on Saturday - March 8

Several local hip-hop and electronica acts are stepping up for a benefit party Saturday, March 8, for Daniel Webb. A Facebook posting for the show says Webb’s neck was broken in two places in a Jan. 3 car accident.

The original lineup of Hise Cold, Natural Habitz and Strata-G now also includes special guests DJ Yawe, FLO, Zigy, Cutlass Cult, Nonsense and Tha Flock.

The 21-and-older show will start at 8 p.m. at Ziggy’s, 607 Cherokee Blvd. Cover charge is $5 (free before 9 p.m.).

Strata-G, who is spearheading the benefit, says he has been friends with Webb since elementary school and that Webb is “a great guy who would do anything for anybody.”

“In this time of need, we, as friends and friends of friends, should step up and do the right thing: Send the family our thoughts and prayers, party like crazy and do anything we can to lighten the load.”

A major portion of the proceeds will go directly to Webb and his family, organizers say, and coin donations will be accepted for Change$ForChange, also benefiting the family. For more information, call Ziggy’s at 423-265-8711 or search for Benefit for Daniel Webb on Facebook.
