A bond hearing is set for 3 p.m. today for a Walker County, Ga., man who admitted shooting another man after an argument on Saturday.

According to Walker County Sheriff Steve Wilson, the shooting followed an argument at a home in LaFayette.

He said 51-year-old Broadrick Shropshire voluntarily surrendered himself at his home after calling authorities at 6:45 p.m. to say he shot Roderick Jackson, 30.

Wilson said the shooting happened at Shropshire's home and that the men were distant cousins.

He said Jackson's body has been sent to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation crime lab for an autopsy.
