Skyy Raven Marie Mims is a suspect in the killing of a Dalton, Ga., store clerk.

UPDATE: A suspect has been identified in the robbery/homicide investigation at the Kanku's Express on Airport and Tibbs roads in Dalton, Ga.

Arrest warrants have been issued for Skyy Mimis, age 21, for murder and armed robbery. Her last known address is Detroit Michigan.

The subject should be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone having contact with Mimis is requested to contact law enforcement immediately. It is unknown if the suspect is still in the Dalton-Whitfield County area.

DALTON, Ga. - A clerk at a gas station here died shortly after midnight when he was attacked from behind, possibly by knife. The attack was so swift and quiet that a handful of customers inside didn't notice.

"One [customer] left the money on the cash register and walked out," said Ron Williamson, a manager for Birva Inc., the Dalton-based company that owns the Hi-Tech Fuel, formerly Kanku's Express, at Airport and Tibbs Bridge roads where the killing occurred.

The Whitfield County Sheriff's Office hadn't released information about the killing at noon.

The victim's nickname was "Dicky," he was from India, about 36 years old, divorced and he had only started working the third shift a few weeks ago, according to gas station employees and owners and friends gathered there Monday morning.

"He was super, super nice" Williamson said "Always smiling."

Law enforcement personnel took the security camera footage of the attack, so Williamson didn't see it.

But he heard the attacker had on dark glasses and a hoodie.

He grabbed the clerk by the mouth from behind and struck him repeatedly, likely with a knife, Williamson said.

"There was definitely enough blood [for him] to be stabbed," Williamson said. "Whoever this was, he was intent on killing him to start with."

The attack took place at the deli at the gas station's front counter. The clerk had come out from behind the counter for some reason, Williamson said.

The gas station was to be closed for 24 hours, a friend of the owner said.
