CBL & Associates Properties Inc. today announced plans to develop a community center in Fort Oglethorpe that will include such retailers as Hobby Lobby, Marshalls and Petco.
Construction of the 134,100-square-foot Parkway Plaza will begin in June with the grand opening set for the spring of 2015.
Parkway Plaza will be on a more than 16-acre tract located on Battlefield Parkway, adjacent to the Walmart shopping center. Rack Room Shoes and Ross Dress for Less will be among the other retailers in the center.
"Parkway Plaza is well-located and its retail lineup will add attractive shopping choices to this highly trafficked retail corridor," Michael Lebovitz, CBL's executive vice president-development and administration, said. "With CBL's headquarters located in nearby Chattanooga, this was an exciting opportunity to develop another great center close to home. We are looking forward to announcing additional retailers as the development progresses."
CBL is a major developer and owner of malls and shopping centers.
