Lady Flames scorch Temple, 82-47

The top-seeded Lee University women's basketball team came back from a 12-day layoff and beat Tennessee Temple 82-47 in the National Christian College Athletic Association Mid-East Region tournament semifinals Friday night at Jackson, Tenn.

Lee, ranked No. 1 nationally in NCCAA Division I, got 25 points with 5-of-6 3-point shooting from senior guard Hollie German and 18 points and 15 rebounds from junior Jenna Adams. Karley Miller scored 11 points and Madison Lee had five assists and eight rebounds for the Lady Flames (23-4), while Angel Foster scored 14 points and TaQuasha O'Neal had 12 points and three steals for Temple (16-15).

Lee plays tonight for an automatic berth and the likely top seeding in the NCCAA national tournament. The Lady Flames led 41-25 after shooting 55.2 percent from the field in the first half against Temple, and they shot 51.8 percent for the game. German was 9-of-12 from the field overall, and Miller was 4-of-5. Temple shot 27.9 percent.
