Lost wedding ring returned to grateful owner, a recent widow

I lost my wedding ring at a doctor's appointment. When I was finished, I went to put my things on and found my hands had swollen. So, I put everything in my overnight bag, or so I thought.

When I returned home, I found everything but my wedding ring. I immediately called the doctor's office. They looked around, and I returned to look for it myself to no avail. I waited a few days and made a report to the police.

I received a phone call from the doctor's office saying someone had found the ring in the parking lot. I was excited, not for the value of the jewelry, but because of its sentimental value, my husband having died a few months earlier.

I met and thanked the lady who found my ring. There are still honest people in the world.
