Georgia Department of Transportation crews will be working this week in Whitfield County, according to a news release.
Workers will be installing reflective raised pavement markers on state routes 201, 52 and 286, the release stated.
Work is scheduled for 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. today through Thursday, weather permitting.
Motorists are asked to use extra care when workers are present.
MADISONVILLE, Tenn. - The Monroe Area Council for the Arts will present "The Cooke Book: The Music of Sam Cooke" on April 3 at Hiwassee College in Madisonville.
Chicago native Darrian Ford will lead his band in a celebration of Sam Cooke's greatest hits and some of his lesser-known musical gems, a news release stated. Cooke's hits included pop favorites like "Twistin,'" "Wonderful World" and "Cupid" as well as the civil rights anthem "A Change is Gonna Come."

NASHVILLE - Tennessee Highway Patrol Col. Tracy Trott has named the agency's Chattanooga District as the 2013 District of the Year, according to a news release from the Tennessee Department of Safety.
THP's Nashville District won the award last year, and the Knoxville District took the honor in 2011.
"The Chattanooga District has a strong leadership team who utilize creative traffic safety enforcement plans and educational campaigns to help reduce serious injury crashes and traffic fatalities across the district. They were the first district to deploy the "No Zone" tractor-trailer to identify and cite distracted drivers -- a tool that was later used in other districts across the state," Trott said in the release.
Officers in the district arrested 1,050 impaired drivers in 2013, a 47 percent increase over 2012, and recorded 22.3 percent fewer traffic fatalities, the release stated.
PRATTVILLE, Ala. - A group of campers who were stranded in Pine Creek during heavy rainfall have been rescued.
Prattville Fire Department Capt. Mike Rogers told the Montgomery Advertiser that five adults and seven children were rescued within about 15 minutes Sunday by a crew that used a rubber boat. No injuries were reported.
Authorities said the group had been camping nearby and heavy rain flooded the area around the high ground the group had gathered on.
Autauga County Emergency Management Agency Director Ernie Baggett called the incident a classic example of flash flooding and encouraged campers to always check weather forecasts if they plan on camping near waterways.
Prattville is northwest of Montgomery.
