Pedestrian struck, killed in 4000 block of Rossville Boulevard

The Chattanooga Police Department has reported that a pedestrian was struck and killed Tuesday night in the 4000 block of Rossville Boulevard.

A department news release said that officers responded to a report on a pedestrian having been struck.

The white man lying in the roadway was taken to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead, the release said.

The release noted that the victim had been crossing Rossville Boulevard east to west and had been struck by a vehicle traveling south on the highway.

The accident is still under investigation.
