The W Road and that part of Walnut Street between East Second and East Third streets will be closed today.

Additionally, the portion of Walnut will also be closed on Friday.

The Hamilton County Highway Department said the W will be closed from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for road maintenance.

The Chattanooga Transportation Department said the Walnut Street segment is being closed from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. today and Friday for a construction project. Detours will be posted.
