Afghan attack kills 9, including 4 foreigners

KABUL, Afghanistan - A senior Afghan official says nine people, including four foreigners, have been killed in an attack on a luxury hotel in Kabul.

Deputy Interior Minister Gen. Mohammad Ayub Salangi tells The Associated Press that the Afghan fatalities included two men, two women and one child while the foreigners included two women and two men.

He said Friday they were killed when gunmen opened fire the night before in a restaurant at the Serena hotel.
