Hart: Climate change? Warming sleep-over just plain chilling

By Ron Hart

Right out of an episode of "House of Cards," about half of Senate Democrats did what a big donor wanted. They pulled an all-nighter to give lip service to global warming. Hedge-fund manager Tom Steyer (playing the role of Tusk) is said to be giving Democrats $50 million for their stunt.

If it's so important, why couldn't Harry Reid muster the rest of his 55 senators to take part in the theatrics?

Global warming is an unpopular issue. Moocher Democrats voted for Obama to get free health care, not so they would have to pay more to fill up their new Cadillac Escalades with gas.

The party that says it is "for the middle class" continues to raise the middle-class cost of living by raising energy prices with their meddling. Regulations cost consumers $1.8 trillion a year, which means higher bills for utilities, gas and transportation for the average person. Limousine liberals rarely see gas prices because they rarely fill up their own limos.

To Democrats, not spending trillions to fix this climate change "crisis" of theirs is "immoral to future generations" -- this from the party that continues to saddle our kids with $18 trillion in debt caused by selfish spending.

I'm not certain about global warming, but I look good in shorts so I won't fret it. Wasting trillions to fix a leftist-driven, trumped-up "crisis" is nuts; it is not using our resources sensibly. Liberals believe it is wise to overpay for fuel, causing tens of thousands of energy workers to lose their jobs just so a caribou in Alaska does not have to look at a pipeline.

All those who preach the religion of global warming, like professors and political cronies of government, etc., have something to gain by advancing the narrative. They advance "global warming" so they can globally fleece others.

Remember other fashionable worries that never panned out, like Y2K and acid rain? What was the last fear government propagated that actually happened? A phony crisis is created, and government demands our tax money to "fix" problems that do not exist.

To believe all the climate change propaganda, you have to subscribe to the following: The Earth is warming, man is causing it, discredited organizations that collected "data" to support the theory are right to a fraction of a degree Fahrenheit, and politicians are so smart that if we give them more money they can change the temperature of the Earth.

The United Nations, which is promoting global warming as a shakedown excuse, recently leaked a U.N. study that said solar activity played a greater role in global warming than originally thought. Wow -- the sun? It's always the last place you think to look, ain't it?

John Kerry made alarmist global warming speeches recently, calling it "a weapon of mass destruction." I guess that means we will be invading the climate soon.

The media and the Left bully people into believing the theory by saying, "The science is settled." Then they set about calling those who do not cower in line with them "flat-earthers," which is the kind of arrogant, derisive statement at which the Left is particularly good. But, keep in mind, Dems are saying 97 percent of scientists believe in man-made global warming.

The temperature of the Earth averages 59 degrees and has maybe increased one half of one degree. But politicians know better than the Earth what its temperature should be. They are just that smart. So let's go with Joe Biden's hunch on this one.

A pesticide exists for everything else, why not libertarian op-ed humorists?

Sen. Reid has apparently forgotten that the only purpose of the Congress is to repeal Obamacare over and over and over...

(Before penning a column, Mr. Hart sits in his garage with the car running to prove there is no human impact on the environment.)

"Regulations cost consumers $1.8 trillion a year..." which is why Mr. Hart is moving to Charleston, WV, to enjoy the clean unregulated water.
