Chattanooga alumnae of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc., in collaboration with Deltas Serving Together Inc., will host their annual Girls Summit on Saturday, March 29, in the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga University Center, beginning at 8:30 a.m.
The free summit is open to girls in grades sixth through 12th. Its focus on self-discovery is reflected in this year’s theme: “Uncompromising, Discovering the Real Me.”
Conference sessions will cover how to become adept at conflict resolution, recognizing signs of domestic violence, overcoming depression and how to responsibly use social media. This year, conference facilitators will also incorporate training for parents to encourage positive relationships with their teens.
