Northside Neighborhood House, a local non-profit located off Frazier Ave., plans to extend its services now to residents in the northern part of Chattanooga with a temporary satellite location in Hixson.
“Many of our clients lack reliable transportation and public transportation is limited or not available in Hixson, Soddy Daisy and areas further north,” according to a NNH news release.
“As a result, we developed a strategic five year plan that addresses obstacles our clients face like limited access to transportation,” said Rachel Gammon, Executive Director of the NNH, in the release.
The temporary location opens April 8, at 8305 Daisy Dallas Rd., on the campus of Dallas Bay Baptist Church. The site will operate Tuesdays and Thursdays to assist families who have utilities on the brink of disconnection and problems with prescriptions.
This is the first part of a potential permanent satellite location.
