Bryan College beat visiting Emmanuel 8-3 and 13-1 in a baseball matchup of Lions on Tuesday at Dayton.
Tyler Latham and Crandon Wallace each was 3-for-4 in the first game for Bryan (21-13), when Latham and Justin Morhardt hit home runs and Morhardt had another hit and three RBIs. Kevin Roberts was 2-for-4 with two doubles and two RBIs, and Grant Zawadzki and Calvin McMiller each was 2-for-4 also.
Latham homered again in game two, driving in three runs, and Joey Underwood was 3-for-3 with an RBI and two runs while Cody Rhinehart went 2-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs. Jared Breazeale and Ike Meyers combined to pitch a six-hitter.
• Tusculum 6, Lee 4: At Cleveland, the visiting Pioneers (20-11) won in 10 innings Tuesday night with John Topoleski and Nick Rodriguez each contributing two hits and two RBIs and Clark Ayers getting the pitching win with 2 2/3 innings of three-hit, four-strikeout scoreless ball.
For Lee (21-10), Nathan Wierzgac was 3-for-4 and Andres Nelo was 2-for-5, and they drove in two runs each, while Zacary Hawkins was 2-for-3 and scored twice.
• Cumberland 14, Tennessee Wesleyan 8: At Athens, the midstate Bulldogs beat the host Bulldogs with a six-run 14th inning in the matchup of traditional NAIA powers. Logan Dalton was 3-for-5 with two RBIs and Wes Minton also had two RBIs for Wesleyan (16-15-1), while Shell McCain, James Boddicker, Cody Heifnar and Minton each was 2-for-6.
Sam Lind was 5-for-7 with four RBIs, including the last two, and three runs for Cumberland (22-13), which got three hits apiece from Tyler Anderson, Brady North and Will Henderson.
