Fleetwood Mac has announced that its upcoming tour of the U.S. will include singer/keyboardist Christine McVie, who hasn't toured with the band since 1998.

The tour begins Sept. 30 in Minneapolis and ends Dec. 19 in Fort Lauderdale. It will be in Atlanta's Philips Arena on Dec. 17, the only other show in the Southeast. Tickets go on sale April 4.

The band - McVie, Mick Fleetwood, John McVie, Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks - made the announcement this morning on NBC's "Today" show. The band also is working on songs for a new album.

Christine McVie, who once was married to bassist John McVie, officially joined the band in 1970 and was part of the band's most successful period, which included 1975's "Fleetwood Mac" and "1977's "Rumours," albums that turned the band into international superstars. "Rumours" is one of the best-selling albums of all time, with more than 40 million copies sold worldwide.

The band had 14 Top 20 singles in the U.S. and Christine McVie wrote seven of them, including "Don't Stop," "You Make Loving Fun," "Say You Love Me" and "Hold Me." She left the band in 1998 at the end of "The Dance" tour.
