The SWAT team responded to a call from East Lake Court Apartments at 4:16 Friday afternoon.

A caller told police they were concerned that a 43-year-old white male family member was considering suicide, according to Wayne Jefferson, spokesman for the Chattanooga Police Department.

The Chattanooga Housing Authority also spotted him and noticed he was holding a gun. The man was taken into custody without incident by the SWAT team.

Jefferson said the man will likely undergo an evaluation.
