Location: Just north of downtown Chattanooga, Red Bank is made up of Dayton Boulevard and the surrounding residential side streets.

Size: 6.5 square miles

Population: 11,723

Founded: 1955

Government: John Roberts is the mayor, and Floy Pierce is the vice mayor. Rick Causer, Ken Welch and Eddie Pierce are the other city commissioners. Randall Smith is the city manager. Residents elect the commissioners by popular vote, and the commissioners choose one of themselves to be the mayor. The commissioners also appoint a city manager.

This November is the next election. Three commission spots will be on the ballot.

Median Household Income: $35,686

Landmarks: The Dixie Youth Baseball Field is a center for activity. So is the community pool on Tom Weathers Drive, just behind Erlanger North Hospital.
