A child was injured today in what the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office called a "water incident" at the Pocket Wilderness off Montlake Road.

Sheriff's office spokeswoman Janice Atkinson said the child was taken to T.C. Thompson Children's Hospital at Erlanger after a response by county emergency personnel and Tennessee park rangers.

The nature of the incident was not explained and the child's condition was not immediately available.
