The 7th annual Community Health, Fun & Wellness Expo will be held Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Chattanooga State Community College Health Institute on Amnicola Highway, a news release stated.

The event, free and open to the public, will include health screenings, exhibits from area health professionals and wellness-related organizations.

The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office Narcotics & Special Operations Division is participating by conducting "Operation Medicine Cabinet" to provide the public the chance to drop off unwanted prescription medications for disposal.

The purpose is to keep medications out of the hands of children as well as to eliminate the contamination of area water supplies, according to the release.
