Four people were arrested in Chattooga County, Ga., on charges of possession of and intent to distribute synthetic marijuana.

On Thursday, as the result of a several-month undercover investigation into stores selling synthetic marijuana, the Chattooga County Sheriff's Office, Summerville Police Department and the Lookout Mountain Judicial Circuit Drug Task Force executed two search warrants and four arrest warrants.

The two search warrants were executed at the Smoke Shop in the Ingles shopping center and the Mountain Top store in Cloudland. The Mountain View BP, on U.S. Highway 27, north of Trion, was also investigated.

Agents seized a quantity of cash from the businesses, and more charges are expected to come once the drugs seized are analyzed by the GBI crime lab.
